Avon North Hill was the site of the non-conference match between the Wildcats of Oxford and the Notre Dame fighting Irish.
The Girls flexed their muscle winning both baker games with scores of 164 and 167. In match play the Oxford girls won or tied 9 of 10 matches. Freshmen Elleanna Ford led the Wildcats with 168 and 162. She was followed closely by Senior Haley Verbeke’s 169 and 137 games. Freshmen Phebe Coffman had the highest game for the Wildcats with a 178 in route to the teams 28 ½ to 1 ½ victory.
This runs the girls record to 5 and 2 on the season.
The boys also showed their strength by winning 29 to 1 versus the young Norte Dame team. The match was highlighted by Sophomore Dom Kempen’s varsity debut. Dom shot a 198 and won his match and earning his Varsity Letter. Dom won 2 points in the Wildcat victory.
This runs the boys record to 10 – 0 on the season.
Both Teams will compete in the Tri-County Tournament Saturday and faces Clarkston on Monday. Mondays match with Clarkston is at Collier Lanes.
