Coming off the Christmas break the Wildcats bowling team invaded Imperial Lanes for the 2024 Bakers Dozen tournaments. Qualifying was 13 baker games with the top 16 moving on into a best of 3 championship round. All 4 Oxford teams advanced into the Championship round.
Both the JV boys and the Varsity boys battled but lost in the 1st round but the girls rolled on. The Varsity girls beat Lake Shore in round one and Lake Orion in Round two. They however lost to Sterling Heights Stevenson in the 3rd round to finish 3rd out of the 24 teams at the event. The JV Girls however were the number 1 seed and held it to be tournament champions. They defeated Lanse Cruise North and Sterling Heights Stevenson in route to the title.
“All teams did well today. We showed progress with all 4 teams. We have the county tournament coming and we have some important league matches coming as well. We still have room to get better but I like how we are battling.”
